Nhat Tan Bridge began construction in 2009 and was completed in 2015. It is the largest cable-stayed steel bridge in Vietnam and a unique symbol of Hanoi Capital.
Nhat Tan Bridge has a total length of 9.17 km, of which the main bridge is 3.9 km (the bridge over the Red River is 1.5 km) and the approach bridge is 5.27 km long.
The bridge is 33.2m wide with 8 lanes for both directions, divided into 4 motor vehicle lanes, 2 bus lanes, 2 mixed vehicle lanes, median, and pedestrian lane.
The bridge connects Dong Anh district with Tay Ho district, starting from Phu Thuong ward, Tay Ho district to Vinh Ngoc commune, Dong Anh district.
Nhat Tan Bridge is one of the national key projects with a total investment capital of up to 13,500 billion VND.
Nhat Tan Bridge has important significance in traffic and economic development of the capital.
This bridge connects Dong Anh district on the other side of the river with Tay Ho district on this side of the river. It starts from Phu Thuong ward (Tay Ho district) and ends at Vinh Ngoc commune (Dong Anh district).
