With the goal of attracting at least 17 million visitors, including 3 million international visitors in 2024, Quang Ninh province has planned to organize a series of programs, events and activities to stimulate tourism. In which, the Ha Long Carnival 2024 is one of the special events in the series of activities of Ha Long Summer Tourism Week 2024.
The structure of the Ha Long Carnival 2024 program is divided into 5 acts: Ha Long Legend; Fishing Village; Commercial Port; Ha Long Carnival Heritage Dance; Shining with Wonders. The program script is built and inspired by 6 core values in the value system of Quang Ninh province with the gathering of thousands of actors, professional artists, international art troupes, and artisans.
According to Vice Chairman of Ha Long City People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Son, the new feature of this year's program is that Quang Ninh province will build the first live art performance and Camaval at sea in Vietnam. Gathering the creative team, leading artists and craftsmen. The program will include international guest groups: Hokkaido - Japan, Guangxi - China, Laos, Thailand and a group of European artists....
Canaval 2024 has a new form, performing, parading on the sea, on the sand of Ha Long Bay with musical art elements, harmoniously combining history and culture to highlight the World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay at night. Hundreds of ships and boats are mobilized to participate in the parade in the program. At the same time, the most modern and advanced technologies such as Drone light (unmanned aerial vehicles in formation), light models, combined with fireworks displays, mapping, Led technology, sound and light...
In addition, during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, Quang Ninh province also organized 11 different cultural, artistic, sports and tourism activities starting from April 20 - May 1. Thereby, strongly spreading the image of Ha Long Bay with its 30-year journey recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage with values of landscape, geology, geomorphology, biology, culture, history... At the same time, affirming the efforts of Quang Ninh province in always protecting, preserving and promoting the conservation of the values of the World Natural Heritage to domestic and foreign tourists.
Up to now, the People's Committee of Ha Long City has issued a plan, developed and approved the script content and urgently prepared facilities, organized practice, ensuring the correct schedule for events and activities in the area on the occasion of April 30 - May 1, especially the Ha Long Carnival 2024 Program.
The work of ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation, food safety and hygiene, disease prevention, urban beautification, and tourism business environment management is being actively implemented by the city and its departments, branches and sectors. With careful preparation in both content and organization, the series of cultural, sports and tourism activities during the April 30 - May 1, 2024 holiday promises to create a special attraction for people and tourists, starting the booming 2024 tourist season in Ha Long City.
According to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee, it is expected that in 2024, the province will organize 186 programs, events, and tourism stimulus activities. In the second quarter alone, nearly 50 programs, events, and cultural, sports, and tourism activities at the international, national, and provincial levels will be organized. The focus will be on the Ha Long Summer Carnival 2024, the Bach Dang traditional festival, the OCOP fair, and the 2024 culinary festival. In addition, many programs and activities will be organized in other localities in the province to respond and kick off the summer tourism season, contributing to attracting at least 17 million visitors in 2024./.
