The directors of Our Family Is Suddenly Happy: We make films for the audience

Nguyen Duc Hieu was born in 1985. Le Do Ngoc Linh is 5 years younger than Hieu. Both graduated from the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema, then joined the film production team of the VFC Television Film Production Center and were part of the young directors team of this film studio.

Before the two collaborated, Duc Hieu had made films such as Chay Tru Thanh Xuan (with director Vu Minh Tri), Tiem An Mi Gai (with director Nguyen Thu), while Ngoc Linh had just started her career with the sitcom Den Thoi Do Quen Di in 2018.

After successful joint works, now each person continues to shine with their own works.

Positive energy imprint

Duc Hieu and Ngoc Linh collaborated together in their first movie May 11th .

When asked what fate gave them the opportunity to make a film together, Ngoc Linh shared: "At first, Hieu and I made films as assigned by our agency. The more we worked together, the more we realized that we had the same perspective on filmmaking."

Duc Hieu agrees: "To me, the most important thing is that the film, no matter what audience or content, must convey positive energy.

In life, if we encounter something unhappy, we should only be sad once and then try to overcome it to live because there are still people around us.

Mr. Nguyen Khai Anh - Deputy Director of VFC Television Film Production Center - commented that Duc Hieu and Ngoc Linh are willing to invest their brains to produce films that attract audiences. They have gradually created their own style.

Following the films they made together, now the two young directors Nguyen Duc Hieu and Le Do Ngoc Linh are confident with their own independent works.

Coming up, from March 4, Ngoc Linh will also present her first feature film on VTV3 , Let's Love Each Other Peacefully . This is also the film that opens the new movie hour at 8:00 p.m. on VTV3 from Monday to Wednesday every week.

The trailer and excerpts of the first film also showed the youthfulness and modernity brought into the love stories and families living in the city, even though many of them encountered difficulties and obstacles.

On set or in the editing room, the two sometimes cannot avoid conflicts when their views and thoughts are different.

But then everything was resolved smoothly because they agreed: "We look in the same direction, which is the audience. We have to make films that have viewers, especially young people.

If we have an argument, the person who gives the most convincing solution will be chosen. Perhaps because it follows this principle, the film is easier to reach the hearts of viewers," said director Ngoc Linh.
