Awarding the Certificate of "The Fatherland's Gratitude" to 12 martyrs of Military Region 7

Kinhtedothi - On December 5, 2024, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed Decision No. 1521/QD-TTg to award the "Fatherland's Gratitude" Certificate to 12 martyrs of the Ministry of National Defense.

Specifically, the "Fatherland's Gratitude" Certificate was awarded to 12 martyrs of the Ministry of National Defense who died on December 2, 2024, including:

1- Dang Quoc Binh; Sergeant, Squad Leader of Company 3, Battalion 17, Division 5, Military Region 7; native place/residence: Hai Lang Commune, Tien Yen District, Quang Ninh Province.

2- Truong Van Tien; Sergeant, Soldier of Company 3, Battalion 17, Division 5, Military Region 7; native place/residence: Thanh An Commune, Dau Tieng District, Binh Duong Province.

3- Pham Ngoc Hieu; Sergeant, Soldier of Company 3, Battalion 17, Division 5, Military Region 7; original place of residence: Duy Vinh Commune, Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam Province.

4- Nguyen Bui Truong An; Sergeant, Soldier of Company 3, Battalion 17, Division 5, Military Region 7; original place of residence: Vy Da Ward, Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province.

5- Lam Hoang Nhat; Sergeant, Soldier of Company 3, Battalion 17, Division 5, Military Region 7; original place of residence: Buu Long Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province.

12- Trinh Doan The Anh; Sergeant, Soldier of Company 3, Battalion 17, Division 5, Military Region 7; native place/residence: Phu Xuan Commune, Tho Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province.

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh issued Official Dispatch No. 126/CD-TTg dated December 5, 2024 regarding the accident during the exercise at Military Region 7 (Xuan Tam Commune, Xuan Loc District, Dong Nai Province).

In the Official Dispatch, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent his best regards and deepest condolences to the families and relatives of the victims.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directed the Ministry of National Defense to coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies and local authorities to visit, encourage and share the pain and loss of the families of soldiers; implement the best policies and regimes for soldiers and their families and relatives; organize thoughtful funerals and quickly overcome and resolve the consequences.

The Ministry of National Defense urgently organized a crime scene investigation to clarify the cause of the incident; reviewed and inspected all procedures in command and operation of the exercise; organized lessons learned, overcame limitations, and ensured absolute safety in training and exercises. Focused on stabilizing the mindset of officers and soldiers throughout the army; strictly maintained training and combat readiness according to regulations.
