Special police demonstrate qigong

The Special Police Force (CSĐN) of the Vietnam People's Public Security is considered an "iron fist", not only having high combat capabilities, but also contributing to protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety. The CSĐN has been built and developed strongly over many years, equipped and trained to deal with the most dangerous and complicated situations, from suppressing terrorist crimes to rescuing hostages. This not only requires high combat skills, but also requires courage and strong political will.

With the photo series "Special police performing qigong", author Pham Dang Khiem captured these impressive qigong and destructive performances as part of the opening ceremony of the 2nd Military and Martial Arts Competition for direct combat forces in the People's Public Security in 2023, held in Quang Nam on June 4, 2023. The qigong and destructive performances of the special police such as jumping over a fire bridge; using an armored rope; using a sledgehammer to break tiles on their hands; lying on a wooden board with nails, a large rock placed on their body and then using a hammer to break the rock; lying on a nail board with a tire hitting their stomach; using a steel bar and a wooden bar to hit their body; using bare hands to break a coconut or carrying a weight through broken glass, have satisfied viewers. The photo series was submitted by the author to the Happy Vietnam Photo and Video Contest, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

To have such skillful qigong performances requires hard work, will and a special passion for this subject.

Identifying this as both an honor and a responsibility, each officer and soldier participating in training and exercises must uphold their spirit, overcome difficulties, strictly comply with regulations, training ground discipline and orders from commanders at all levels, ensuring the successful completion of tasks assigned by the Ministry's leaders and absolute safety in all aspects. The exchange process is always carried out in an open, receptive, proactive spirit of research and learning; at the same time, demonstrating the skills and capabilities of counter-terrorism operations of the Special Police Force of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.
