On the afternoon of February 9, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, the commander of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team, Nam Tu Liem District Police (Hanoi) said that at 9:36 a.m. the same day, a fire broke out in a house in lane 116, Mieu Dam Street, Me Tri Ward (Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi).
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team, Nam Tu Liem District Police dispatched 2 fire trucks and 15 officers and soldiers, coordinating with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Area 2 (Department PC07) to organize fire fighting.

Police guided and assisted in getting 1 adult and 2 children out of the attic of the adjacent house and down to safety. After about 15 minutes, the fire was under control.

"The fire started in a bedroom on the second floor, about 20 square meters wide. The house on fire is 6 stories high. The fire did not cause any human casualties, property damage is being assessed. The cause of the fire is still being investigated," informed the commander of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team, Nam Tu Liem District Police.
