On April 22, Squadron 42 (Command of Coast Guard Region 4) organized the distribution of free water to households with difficulties in clean water in Nam Can district, Ca Mau province.

Officers and soldiers of the Navy Division directly handed over 900 20-liter bottles of purified drinking water to the people, mobilized Thuan Phat Aquatic Breeding Company to support 100 boxes of instant noodles; and presented 5 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to policy families in difficult circumstances.

Through the free water transportation to directly deliver to the people, the Navy also coordinated with local authorities to organize propaganda on water saving, using clean water sources, protecting health and the environment, especially in the complicated conditions of drought and saltwater intrusion.

At the same time, it is necessary to integrate propaganda about knowledge and laws on the Vietnam People's Army and Coast Guard; regulations of Vietnamese and international laws on seas and islands such as: International Convention on the Law of the Sea 1982, Vietnam Sea Law 2012, Fisheries Law 2017, Vietnam Coast Guard Law 2018, etc.

"This is an action that demonstrates the sense of responsibility and solidarity of the officers and soldiers of the 42nd Naval Division with the people in Nam Can district, contributing to helping people overcome the drought and stabilize their lives during this drought" - Colonel Duong Xuan Dung, Political Commissar of the 42nd Naval Division said.
