The Russian leader made the statement on the sidelines of the 11th Summit of Leaders Responsible for International Security in Moscow. President Putin added that Moscow is ready to cooperate with all interested countries to address common security threats and challenges.

“I am confident that together we will achieve the goal of a more equitable, multipolar world and that the ideology of monopoly, as well as the neo-colonial system aimed at exploiting global resources, will certainly become a thing of the past,” the Russian leader told foreign security officials.

President Putin said that Russia has partners in different regions and continents and the authorities in these countries highly value relations with Moscow.

“We highly value the long-standing, friendly and truly trustworthy relations we have had with countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America over the years, and Moscow will strengthen them in every possible way,” Putin stressed.

At the conference of Defense Ministers of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Moscow late last year, President Putin also declared that the emergence of a multipolar world order is an irreversible objective process of history.

President Putin noted the fact that new development centers are being formed in Asia, Africa and Latin America, which are increasingly actively defending their national interests, defending their sovereignty and right to development.
