Hon Vong Phu scenic relic is located in the An Hoach Mountain Art and Scenic Relic Complex (also known as Nhoi Mountain; An Hung Ward, Thanh Hoa City, Thanh Hoa Province). This relic cluster was recognized as a National Relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VH-TT-DL) in 1992, including: Thuong Communal House, Hinh Son Pagoda, Quan Thanh Pagoda, Tomb of Lord Le Trung Nghia and Hon Vong Phu.
According to a report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province, on the night of June 15, 2022, the Hon Vong Phu relic was struck by lightning, causing a landslide of a 1x3 m rock block in the west and a 2.5x3 m rock block in the east.
After the above incident, Hon Vong Phu was broken, many cracks appeared, currently has a vertical tilt of 10 - 15 degrees, and is at risk of being struck by lightning and collapsing if no measures are taken to protect and preserve it soon.

The appearance of many peeling and cracking spots has put this relic in danger and it may continue to be struck by lightning if there is no solution to protect and preserve it soon.
The top of Hon Vong Phu also seems to have been struck by lightning, causing peeling.

With the naked eye, it can be seen that this monument has tilted, after part of the rock block was struck by lightning and caused a landslide.

Nhoi Mountain used to be a mountainous area, but due to excessive quarrying, there are now very few mountain ranges left in this area.
Nhoi Mountain is full of "wounds" left by previous stone mining...
... making Hon Vong Phu even more "lonely"

In order to assess the current situation and propose solutions to preserve this scenic spot, on October 1, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province organized a scientific workshop, through which it consulted experts and scientists to find effective solutions to quickly "rescue" Hon Vong Phu, which is at high risk of collapsing at any time.
