Minh Vuong laughed and told us: "After the show, it was 1am when I got home. But after a good night's sleep, I woke up feeling great and even woke up early to exercise."
Everything needs enough fate
The reason why colleagues and audiences were so worried was because Minh Vuong's legs were now weak. The show lasted about 4 hours, he sang 4 excerpts : Doi Co Luu, To Anh Nguyet, Rang Ngoc Con Son and Chung Vo Diem .
Up to now, Minh Vuong has been singing for about 60 years. His name is ranked among famous singers. People who sing may not find an impressive role in their whole life, but he has had so many memorable roles.
Some examples include Nguyen Trai ( Rang Ngoc Con Son ), Minh ( To Anh Nguyet ), Vo Minh Luan ( Co Luu's Life ), Tan Linh Son ( Cold Night in the Deserted Temple ), Tung ( Half a Life of Powder and Incense )...
Yet for the past 60 years, while his colleagues have been bustling about doing live shows, he has remained silent.
Minh Vuong smiled gently and said that many people were wondering. But he was worried that his health was not good enough so he kept hesitating.
However, when Gia Bao offered to do the show, he decided to accept, because if he kept hesitating, he was afraid it would be too late.
Then he was so worried that he couldn't sleep. On the night of the show, he arrived at the theater early when no one was there yet. He found a small corner to sit and meditate. Whoever passed by would say hello, and he would speak softly to save his breath so that he could sing for everyone to hear.
Yet he also made the crew "feel sick" when after the performance of Miss Luu's Life (the longest performance of the program), he was exhausted backstage.
But in the end, the show ended well. Seeing the auditorium full of people from home and abroad "flying" to support and applaud enthusiastically, Minh Vuong burst into tears.

"I'm so moved that I don't know what to say. I can only thank the crew for giving me the strength to sing. Thank the audience for still loving Minh Vuong. Thank my colleagues for accepting my invitation without knowing what to sing with Minh Vuong and immediately agreeing" - Minh Vuong said with tears in his eyes.
Many people feel a bit regretful if Minh Vuong had done the live show earlier, when he was still healthy he could have "dominate" more.
Minh Vuong believes that everything needs enough fate and he was satisfied with the recent performance where he reunited with close colleagues.
To make an impression, artists must struggle with their roles.
The golden generation of artists of Cai Luong are always remembered by audiences for their roles that are imprinted in their minds.
Minh Vuong believes that at that time, artists were lucky because the life of the cai luong stage was very developed. Many stages were lit up, and the force of artists, authors, and directors was strong.
A play can last from several hundred to a thousand performances, performed over many years. That condition helps the artist to master and edit the role through each performance, making the character better and deeper.
"However, the most important thing is still the artist's awareness and concern when receiving the character" - Minh Vuong said.
And he cited the role of Nguyen Trai in Rang Ngoc Con Son . At that time, he was only given handsome male roles. As for this old male role, everyone thought it would be given to artist Ut Tra On.
However, Minh Vuong unexpectedly asked Doan Ba to try. The director was surprised but also met with the crew, calculated and finally Nguyen Trai belonged to Minh Vuong.
Minh Vuong said he was grateful to director Doan Ba for taking care of him little by little. He constantly added dialogue, songs, and actions to deepen the character.
"At that time, I invited artist Kim Cuc, wife of artist Nam Chau, to my house to teach me Nguyen Trai's walking gestures. All day long I walked up and down the stairs for her to correct each gait, the way I placed my hands..." - Minh Vuong recalled and he gave examples of other plays.

Ms. Luu's life is also the collective effort, so in that play, every character is considered a lifetime role for the artists.
Minh's role in To Anh Nguyet , people always remember the part where Minh visited Nguyet when she was old. In his torment for betraying his ex, Minh Vuong asked him to write another song called "Heavy Love of the Past" for him.
"I'm bowing my head waiting for grace...". Oh my god, a song so well placed that as soon as he sang it, the audience was broken and clapped wildly.
Just like that, the roles that bear Minh Vuong's mark are increasing day by day. For him now, there is nothing more to ask for. As long as he has strength and the audience loves him, he will continue to perform, not for money but for the happiness of a silkworm's life...

Minh Vuong and the "legendary" hairstyle
In the Minh Vuong live show, Gia Bao posted a photo of him and artist Le Thuy in the excerpt To Anh Nguyet, he briefly captioned it "Legend!".
Under the posted photo, singer Bang Kieu commented "Uncle Minh Vuong's hair is also legendary". Many people liked this comment.
Minh Vuong happily said that he has had only one hairstyle since he was a teenager.
The hairstyle that flows down and frames the face, according to Minh Vuong, suits his face and requires less care.
For Minh Vuong, whatever is suitable, he is always loyal. Like the gold necklace with a Buddha pendant he bought during a tour in Nha Trang.
Several times his necklace was snatched, broken, or dropped on the street, but he did not lose it. Since then, he believed that this was his lucky charm, and that "lucky" necklace has been with him for decades.
