Stage 15 of the Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup - Ton Dong A 2025, 46.5km long, around Buon Ma Thuot City, took place at high speed and with breathtaking competition.

Immediately after the start, attacks from riders who were not ranked high in the individual rankings continued to erupt. The Loc Troi An Giang Group team (defending the yellow jersey Mikhail Fokin) did not pay much attention to this, leaving control of the large group to the Vinh Long team, who wanted to bring Nicholas Kergozou (620 Nong Nghiep Vinh Long) to the finish line in a sprint.

So a group of 5 riders escaped, although not far, creating conditions for Quoc Khang to score the first sprint point. A similar scenario followed and Ngo Thanh Sang was the one who won sprint 2.

Not long after, the racing group was pulled back together to form a large group heading towards the finish line. At the finish line, the racers gave the audience a spectacular sprint speed competition.

Impressive sprint by Nguyen Van Binh

The drama reached its climax in the last 1km, when Vinh Long racers supported Nicholas Kergozou to sprint at high speed. Although there was no support from any teammates, Nguyen Van Binh (HCMC - New Group) was still alone, following closely behind Nicholas Kergozou.

In the last 200m, the New Zealand foreigner dodged and escaped at a very high speed. Nguyen Van Binh immediately followed. Each strong and determined step helped the racer of the Ho Chi Minh City - New Group team to move forward, then surpass his opponent in the last meters, winning in the joy of Vietnamese cycling fans.

Nicholas Kergozou tried to make his usual classy push just before the finish line, but still couldn't keep up with the strong rise of the Ho Chi Minh City rider.

Nguyen Van Binh is also the first Vietnamese racer to win against Nicholas Kergozou at the finish line of this year's race. Former coach Tran Thoi proudly exclaimed: "Nguyen Van Binh has done what Vietnamese fans have been waiting for."

Nguyen Van Binh shared emotionally: "I am very happy because after many efforts, I finally won the stage. First of all, I want to thank my teammates for always supporting me so that I could rest on the track, preparing for the sprint at the finish line.

I always try to find the best stage to repay the fans who always encouraged me not to be discouraged after many times finishing second, behind Nicholas Kergozou".

Tomorrow (April 20), the racers will continue with stage 16 from Buon Ma Thuot City to Nha Trang City with a route of 190km.
