On February 18, the National Assembly voted to pass a resolution to elect Mr. Le Minh Hoan, member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Mr. Vu Hong Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Economic Committee, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Le Minh Hoan was born on January 19, 1961; hometown: My Tra commune, Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province; professional qualifications: Master of Economics, Architect; Member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan has worked for many years in Dong Thap province, holding the positions of Secretary of the Cao Lanh City Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Since May 2014, he has held the position of Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee.

In January 2016, Mr. Le Minh Hoan was elected as a member of the 12th Party Central Committee; in January 2021, he was elected to the 13th Central Executive Committee.

October 2020 - April 2021, Mr. Le Minh Hoan was Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; April 2021 was Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

On February 18, 2025, at the 9th Extraordinary Session, the National Assembly elected Mr. Le Minh Hoan to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

Mr. Vu Hong Thanh was born on April 19, 1962; hometown: Minh Tan commune, Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province; Professional qualification: Mechanical Engineer; Member of the Party Central Committee, 12th and 13th terms.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh worked for many years in Quang Ninh province, holding the positions of Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, Secretary of the Ha Long City Party Committee, and Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

In January 2016, Mr. Vu Hong Thanh was elected as a member of the 12th Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee; In January 2021, he was elected as a member of the 13th Party Central Committee.

From July 2016 to present, Mr. Vu Hong Thanh has been a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee.

On February 18, 2025, at the 9th Extraordinary Session, the National Assembly elected Mr. Vu Hong Thanh to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
