Each song in the album is considered a message of deep gratitude sent to the generations who have devoted themselves to the homeland and country.

Singer Ly Anh Nguyen hopes to spread his love for Quang Nam folk songs to more of the public.

The album is also a deep gratitude that I want to send to the mothers and women of Quang Nam - Da Nang who sacrificed silently during the war and in peacetime still persistently and continuously contributed to building the homeland,” singer Ly Anh Nguyen shared.

Young artists on the journey to bring folk songs closer to the public

Singer Ly Anh Nguyen is a native of Dai Loc (Quang Nam). In more than 8 years of artistic activities, Ly Anh Nguyen has achieved many important milestones such as: Gold Medal of Da Nang City Singing Contest; TOP 16 Sao Mai 2019 and the award "Most Favorite Contestant in the Central - Central Highlands region". Persistent, constantly striving, along with the title "Quang Nam Singing Voice", the 27-year-old female singer has become a beloved singer in many cultural and artistic programs and is a familiar face to audiences who love folk music.

Ly Anh Nguyen said that she always wanted to bring the most perfect products to her homeland. That is the reason why she and her team including Director Ngo Hoa, Director Sac Viet, Talented Actor Tran Nam, Actor Phan Hue and stylist Le Ngoc Huyen... together cherished nearly a year to complete this "brainchild". From choosing the song, recording, to the production stage, choosing diverse and suitable settings, all were done meticulously and enthusiastically by the team.

The press conference to launch the album “Quang Nam Mother” was attended by many reporters from central and local press agencies.

Besides her singing career, Ly Anh Nguyen also took on a new role as a TV editor and had her own business. However, the singer still spent time researching and learning about the folk songs of Quang Nam and the idea for her second album was formed.

Ms. Ho Thi Cong Ly - Lecturer of the Vocal Department, Da Nang College of Culture and Arts - who directly guided Ly Anh Nguyen to perfect every note in this album.

“When immersing myself in folk music, Nguyen realized that the younger generation can also bring folk songs closer to the young audience and that music is the means to maintain and develop the unique cultural identity of Vietnam, opening up a large space to explore cultural tourism. Through each melody, each lyric, Nguyen wants to bring his homeland closer to the hearts of each listener, so that young people can be the bridge between the past and the present and music can become the bridge between generations and regions,” Ly Anh Nguyen confided.

Performing folk music with modern elements, along with the skillful combination of many traditional Vietnamese musical instruments such as: zither, monochord, flute, guitar, saxophone... is a new direction to help traditional music not to be lost. Ly Anh Nguyen has done this by putting familiar melodies into new, fresh arrangements, giving listeners a feeling of closeness and familiarity. This is also the way that the female singer Xu Quang wishes to bring to music a subtle innovation, with inheritance and development, thereby making it easier for the younger generation to approach and increase their love for the cultural values ​​of their homeland.
