Linh Giang used to be an introvert and shy person. In grade 10, she learned about BUV, learned about the scholarship winners and realized that the seniors were active and participated in many extracurricular activities.
At this time, the female student told herself that she would find a way to change herself to become a better version, worthy of this scholarship. Giang found an internship and a collaborator job in her favorite industry - Marketing during her three years of high school, participated in social work, and had to "diplomatize" such as volunteer trips to Viet Duc Hospital and the National Children's Hospital to become more courageous.
"I believe that 'If you never try, you'll never know', meaning if you don't try, you will never know your limits," Linh Giang emphasized.

In addition, BUV has the Lion Heart Scholarship for students with difficult circumstances who strive to overcome adversity and persevere with their dreams and passions. Through this, the school wants to give equal learning opportunities to all Vietnamese students, regardless of circumstances.
Upon learning about this program, Ms. Vu Thi Dung - founder of the Aspiration Fund affirmed that these scholarships have a greater meaning than financial support. Because, giving a student an opportunity also instills more confidence in younger students, helping them have hope and motivation to move forward and strive to excel.

The 2023 Lion Heart Scholarship Champion - Vi Thanh Nhat is a Thai ethnic student at Nghe An Ethnic Boarding High School, born and raised in a poor mountainous district. At the age of four, he was diagnosed with Thalassemia. Since then, if other students go to school or go out, he has to go to the hospital once a month, for 10 days each time.
However, Thanh Nhat did not feel discouraged by what he had to overcome. The student still tried to go to school on days when he was not being treated or studied by himself at the hospital. He tried hard to achieve the title of excellent student throughout his high school years and won prizes in competitions such as first prize in school-level Informatics and second prize in school-level Science and Technology. At the same time, Nhat participated in the provincial-level Informatics competition for excellent students.
The Nghe An male student was happy and found hope when he learned about BUV in grade 10. He determined to try his best to become a student of the school. As a result, Nhat achieved his dream when he became the Champion of the Lion Heart Scholarship.
"I want to inspire young people and children in the countryside, to sow more faith and love in life for everyone to strive to study, improve the quality of life, and reduce poverty," Thanh Nhat confided.
