The organizers of Tien Phong Marathon 2025 offer incense to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs at Truong Son cemetery

At the event, delegates, members of the organizing committee, representatives of athletes participating in Tien Phong Marathon 2025, and contestants participating in the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest offered incense and flowers to express their deep gratitude to the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives to gain independence and freedom for the nation.

Over the years, sideline activities have been a special feature, with meanings beyond the expertise of Tien Phong Marathon, contributing to fostering love for the homeland and country. This year's race was held in Quang Tri, a heroic land associated with the tradition of fighting against foreign invaders.

Journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of Tien Phong Marathon 2025, emotionally shared: “In this sacred moment, we respectfully bow, express our respect, remembrance and infinite gratitude to the great President Ho Chi Minh, who devoted his whole life to the independence and freedom of the nation; remember and express deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland so that the country, the homeland can be prosperous and happy as it is today”.

On the same afternoon, the delegation of members of the Organizing Committee of the National Marathon and Long Distance Championship of Tien Phong Newspaper held an incense offering ceremony at Truong Son Cemetery and Road 9 Cemetery, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel and performed the flower lantern releasing ceremony at the ceremony house - flower releasing dock on the north bank of Thach Han River.

Within the framework of Tien Phong Marathon 2025, tomorrow morning (March 29), the Flag Raising Ceremony and honoring the sacred national flag will take place at the special historical relic site on both banks of Hien Luong - Ben Hai.

Tien Phong Marathon 2025 will officially take place on the morning of March 30, attracting 7,000 athletes.
