CAND – T&T table tennis team held a departure ceremony to prepare to participate in the 2024 National Table Tennis Championship.

The 2024 National Table Tennis Championship began on June 2 (closing on the evening of June 7) at Khanh Hoa Provincial Sports Stadium, attracting nearly 200 athletes from 18 professional table tennis delegations from provinces, cities, industries, and businesses nationwide.

In addition to 7 official medals in the men's team, women's team, men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles categories, this year's tournament also awarded promising prizes to the 2 best young male and female athletes, 2 prizes for localities actively building the table tennis competition movement and localities hosting the tournament.

At this year's tournament, fans were interested in the fact that the players of the Hanoi T&T team joined the People's Public Security team and changed their name to the People's Public Security - T&T. Previously, on May 23, the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association and T&T Group signed a memorandum of understanding, marking the cooperation between the two sides with the aim of supporting and developing the People's Public Security table tennis and Vietnamese table tennis in general.

In 2007, Mr. Hien decided to establish Hanoi T&T Table Tennis Club. It was the first private table tennis club in Vietnam to be developed with a clear orientation, aiming at sustainable development based on the foundation of youth training. Along with that, the working conditions and salaries were much better than many other table tennis teams in the country.

Hanoi T&T table tennis has emerged as a big name in youth training alongside famous training centers nationwide such as the Army, Hanoi, Hai Duong, with many times topping the national youth tournament. In the highest level tournaments of the national competition system, Mr. Hien's "fighting cocks" such as Dinh Anh Hoang, Le Dinh Duc, Tran Mai Ngoc..., have affirmed their position with gold medals.

Mr. Do Vinh Quang - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group and Mr. Tran Duc Phan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association signed the memorandum of understanding.

According to statistics, since its establishment, Hanoi T&T table tennis center has won 13 gold medals in national championships, 75 gold medals in national youth and children's tournaments.

With the strong rise of the players trained by Coach Vu Manh Cuong, key players of the CAND – T&T table tennis team such as Dinh Anh Hoang, Le Dinh Duc, Tran Mai Ngoc were all named in the national team training list recently. This is also one of the few teams that are strong in both team, singles and doubles.

The fact that Dinh Anh Hoang has just reached the final round of the 2024 Olympic qualifying round in Southeast Asia shows the rapid progress of this young tennis player. Dinh Anh Hoang can compete for the championship with seniors such as Nguyen Anh Tu, Le Tien Dat (Hanoi); Nguyen Duc Tuan, Doan Ba ​​Tuan Anh (Hai Duong-Long Hai)...

Currently, Le Dinh Duc - Dinh Anh Hoang is the number 1 men's doubles pair of Vietnamese table tennis. In addition, the combination of Dinh Anh Hoang - Tran Mai Ngoc in the mixed doubles event is also worth waiting for. This is the pair that helped Vietnamese table tennis win the historic gold medal in the mixed doubles event at the recent 32nd SEA Games.

At the departure ceremony on May 23, Coach Vu Manh Cuong said that the goal of the CAND - T&T table tennis team is to win 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal, ranking 3rd overall at the 2024 National Table Tennis Tournament. Despite having to compete with many strong opponents, this is not an impossible goal for the police table tennis team.
