"This business of selling both coffee and fresh flowers is really interesting. At first, I thought the owner was just focusing on appearance to attract customers, but the coffee is also very fragrant and delicious," Vy shared.

Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Mai (21 years old) traveled nearly 30km from Thu Duc City to the center of Ho Chi Minh City just to enjoy a cup of coffee and take pictures with a flower set.

"I happened to see this flower coffee cart on social media. I hope the city will have more carts like this so young people can enjoy it on the weekend," said Ms. Mai.

Ms. Bui Thi Phuong (24 years old, living in Binh Chanh district) is the owner of the flower coffee cart. She said that at 7am, many young people were already lining up to buy. The idea of starting this business model was consulted by Ms. Phuong on social networks and perfected according to the tastes of young people in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ms. Phuong said that customers who buy coffee will be sold a flower box for 65,000 VND. For fresh flowers sold in bunches, the price is usually 50,000 VND/bunch, but on the occasion of October 20, the price can be up to 80,000 VND/bunch.

Here, Ms. Phuong mainly invests in eye-catching foreign flowers. The quantity and type of flowers will not be fixed by day, but will be flexibly imported depending on the predicted number of customers per day. Among them, roses are the most popular type of flowers among customers.

Every morning, from 7am to 11am from Thursday to Sunday, Ms. Phuong will be present in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City to sell coffee and flowers. Although it has only been open for nearly a month, Ms. Phuong's flower coffee cart is loved by many young people. In addition to selling directly at the counter, she also receives many online orders.

"I will place online orders through delivery apps to deliver to customers. I will share the delivery fee with the customer and not let the customer pay in full," said Ms. Phuong.

On weekdays, the revenue of a flower coffee cart ranges from 500,000 to 700,000 VND, and on weekends it can be up to 2 million VND in one morning.

Love freedom

Recalling the day she signed her resignation letter from her job as manager of a fashion chain store, with a salary of 15 million VND, Ms. Phuong cannot forget the scene of her mother trying to dissuade her.

Giving up a stable job with a high salary, Phuong decided to find her own path to assert herself (Photo: Nguyen Vy).

"For a fresh graduate, that salary is very high for me, but it only shows the time I have worked in the industry. I think if I just work as an office worker for 8 hours, every day is the same, it is too boring. I feel like I cannot develop, I want to escape to do something for myself," Ms. Phuong confided.

Immediately after that, Ms. Phuong spent 1 month coming up with ideas, researching and preparing materials. The day she was ready to start her business was also the day she boldly submitted her resignation.

In the first days of opening, many young people were curious and interested in the coffee flower cart, then gathered around to buy and support, taking souvenir photos. Gradually, this model became more and more popular on social networks, Ms. Phuong also took advantage of her social network channel to promote the flower cart.

Having never arranged flowers before, Ms. Phuong went online to learn and research. The first bouquets were not beautiful, so she listened to customers' comments and gradually improved them.

"Making coffee is not a problem because I have experience working part-time at a coffee shop before, so I can apply this skill to starting a business," said Ms. Phuong.

Every day at 4am, Phuong wakes up early to travel from Binh Chanh district to the center of Ho Chi Minh City to sell. Phuong leaves the coffee cart with an acquaintance and only takes it out when she is ready to pack.

After selling all her morning coffee, she will go home to work as an online salesperson until late at night. Although she has only started her business for a month, the 9X girl has gained a lot of experience and unforgettable memories.

Starting a business was difficult, but Phuong always remained optimistic and persistent (Photo: Nguyen Vy).

"What I remember most is when it rains, everyone in the park looks for shelter. I have to pack up my goods, so sometimes I can't run fast enough and get wet. Because I got so wet in the rain, my coffee cart broke down and I had to fix it myself. Although it's a bit hard, I feel happy because starting a business is never easy," the girl said, satisfied.
