Firmly step on the journey of starting a business and establishing a career

In recent times, the movement “Accompanying young people in starting a business” has been implemented synchronously by the Youth Union chapters in the province, with a wide influence. From the movement, many young union members have promoted the spirit of dynamism and creativity in labor and production, daring to think and do, turning creative startup ideas into reality. Thereby, they have risen to become rich legitimately, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.

Starting from scratch, but with courage, youthfulness, and a spirit of overcoming difficulties, young man Ha Van Tieu, Trai Giua village, Dam Ha commune (Dam Ha district) has built for himself a strong business, earning hundreds of millions of dong each year. That was in 2018, realizing the development potential of making fish cakes and squid cakes, Mr. Tieu boldly invested and established Khanh Dan Food Processing and Trading Cooperative.

Khanh Dan Cooperative's products are recognized as 3-star OCOP products, consumed nationwide with an output of dozens of tons/month, and an annual revenue of over 2 billion VND. Not only focusing on production to supply traditional markets (markets, industrial kitchens, schools, etc.), Mr. Tieu has promoted the application of technology, taking advantage of e-commerce systems and social networks to sell products online. Currently, up to 90% of the Cooperative's orders are online orders. The Cooperative currently creates regular jobs for 10 local workers with a salary of 7-10 million VND/person/month.

The project "FarmGO farm management software platform" by author Vu Duc Tuan (Quang Yen town) has excellently passed the semi-finals to compete in the national final round of the contest "Searching for creative startup ideas and projects in 2023".

In Quang Yen Town, Mr. Vu Duc Tuan, Director of HIPOTECH Technology Company Limited, has inspired many young people to confidently pursue and realize their startup ideas.

FarmGo farm management software founded by Mr. Vu Duc Tuan is an application running on smartphones and computers, designed and built according to the format of businesses that have been operating for many years in the livestock sector and the form of agricultural production practice standards, such as VietGAP, LifSap, GlobalGAP... The impacts on livestock from importing breeds to harvesting will be provided by FarmGo to traceability platforms in Vietnam as well as around the world.

FarmGo's goal is to help farms directly participate in the digital agriculture network, aiming to build "Smart Agriculture". After just over 2 years of bringing FarmGo software to the market, from 2022 to present, HIPOTECH Technology Company Limited has had about 1,000 partners who are farm owners and cooperatives in the country.

The Provincial Youth Union awarded first prize to the authors at the final round of the "Creative Startup Ideas" Competition in 2024.

Mr. Ha Van Tieu and Mr. Vu Duc Tuan are just 2 of hundreds of young people in Quang Ninh who dare to think, dare to do, are ready to overcome challenges, nurture their passion and dream of starting a successful business. Along with their own efforts, they also receive support and companionship from the Youth Union at all levels in implementing their startup projects.

For example, Mr. Vu Duc Tuan's FarmGo farm management software project won first prize in the "Creative Startup Ideas of Quang Ninh Province" contest in 2023 and entered the top 10 of the "Searching for creative startup ideas and projects in the Northern provinces" contest organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in 2023, through which Mr. Tuan received additional guidance from experts and reputable businesses to develop the project. Over the past 3 years, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have supported   over 200 youth startups, including 38   Innovative startups in many flexible and suitable forms.

In order to provide knowledge and skills for young people to start a business, from 2022 to 2024, the entire Youth Union has organized 122 propaganda activities, raising awareness about start-ups, innovation, start-ups associated with digital transformation for over 30,000 young people. In particular, focusing on training to improve start-up knowledge, transfer of science and technology in agricultural cultivation; skills in applying technology in production, business and consumption of products on e-commerce platforms... At the same time, every year, the contest "Creative start-up ideas of Quang Ninh province" is organized; creative youth festival, exhibition of creative models, start-up products of young people; exchange programs, trade promotion organized by the Investment and Start-up Club of the province...

In particular, the contest “Creative Startup Ideas of Quang Ninh Province” held annually since 2018 has created a useful exchange playground for young people. In the past 3 years, the contest has received 162 startup ideas and projects from young people, students and pupils. Each year, the ideas and projects have increased in both quantity and quality, clearly demonstrating the spirit of innovation and creativity of young people.

In addition, activities to support young people in accessing preferential loans to create jobs and develop the economy have been effectively implemented. By the end of 2024, the total outstanding debt at the Social Policy Bank managed by the Youth Union reached VND 569.06 billion. Activities to connect young people doing business and start-up businesses with investors in the province in supporting output and product consumption; supporting rural youth to participate in introducing and displaying products in trade promotion programs organized by the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association continue to be promoted.

With courage, will to rise up and the support of the Youth Union organization, it is a solid foundation for young people to realize their aspiration to start a business to get rich, contributing their youth to build their homeland to become more and more prosperous.
