On this occasion, the Naval Region 5 Command presented 30 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) to policy families and poor households in the communes of Khanh Tien, Khanh Lam and Bien Bach.
Drought and saltwater intrusion are occurring severely in the Mekong Delta. Although localities have anticipated scenarios and proactively responded, damage has still occurred. In Ca Mau, the canal system in the freshwater area has dried up. This has led to widespread subsidence and thirst for water, affecting people's lives. Officers and soldiers of Naval Region 5 and other forces have joined hands and contributed to helping people overcome the difficulties of the drought. |
