Shooter Pham Quang Huy became the hero of the Vietnamese shooting team and sports delegation. Up to this point, he is the only athlete to win a gold medal at the 19th Asiad. Deputy Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Training Le Thi Hoang Yen congratulated Quang Huy and welcomed the members of the Vietnamese shooting team who successfully completed their mission back home.
Coach Hoang Xuan Vinh directly trained Pham Quang Huy, contributing greatly to his student's gold medal. What's even more special is that the 10m air pistol event was also the event in which this former shooter won the Olympic gold medal in Brazil.
Veteran shooter Tran Quoc Cuong has also moved into coaching.
