La Liga selects 8 young Vietnamese players to train and compete in Spain

The "Search and develop young talent" project (Next Gen Draft) within the global initiative EA SPORTS FC FUTURES was officially launched on the morning of April 11.

The joint project between La Liga and EA Sports will take place this weekend at Gia Dinh Stadium (HCMC) with the participation of more than 200 promising young players (both male and female) from all over Vietnam.

The program in Vietnam will take place from April 11 to 13, to spread the spirit of football. After three days of selection, the Organizing Committee will choose the 8 best faces to attend a special training camp in Madrid (Spain) next June.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Pablo Casaos, Chief Representative of La Liga in Vietnam, said: "We are very proud that Vietnam is one of the five countries selected for the Next Gen Draft project. Vietnam is the only representative in Asia - this shows the great potential of the young generation of Vietnamese players.

The event will see over 200 children participating and becoming part of a global journey with over 1,000 young players from 5 countries, across 3 continents. In total, 40 of the world’s best players will be selected to receive special training from La Liga and its partner clubs, including 8 young talents from Vietnam.

This program will have 4 parts, including: Rush Tournament, FC FUTURES Academy Training, LALIGA Final Match, Top coaching experience in Spain.

Specifically, Rush Tournament - A creative 5v5 playground to select the best players selected by experts and coaches from La Liga for the next round; FC FUTURES Academy Training - selected candidates participate in intensive training with UEFA PRO certified coaches from La Liga, using the FC FUTURES Academy method.

At the end of this round, 32 players (16 men and 16 women) will continue to the final round; LALIGA Final Match – A chance to shine and win tickets to Europe, compete with local teams to select 8 faces (4 men, 4 women) to go to Spain; Experience top-notch training in Spain – With international methods from La Liga Academy, compete with youth teams of La Liga clubs, directly guided by La Liga experts.

Previously, "Next Gen Draft" has been successfully held in South Africa, the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Guatemala. Through the combination of human values ​​and professional training methods from La Liga and EA Sports.

FC FUTURES is EA Sports’ long-term initiative to invest in the development of community football on a global scale. In addition to supporting more than 15 partner programs and donating equipment in more than 10 countries, they have also launched the FC FUTURES Academy, a free online training library for coaches to easily access and apply in their daily training.
