Having secured their ticket to the next round early, TP.HCM and Thai Nguyen T&T did not field their strongest lineups in the final match of Group A. TP.HCM “kept” key players such as Chuong Thi Kieu, Phan Thi Trang or captain Huynh Nhu. On the contrary, coach Van Thi Thanh let her favorite student Bich Thuy sit on the bench of Thai Nguyen T&T.

Ranked above their opponents thanks to the extra index, TP.HCM only needed a draw to take the top spot. Therefore, TP.HCM entered the game quite leisurely and did not rush to attack. However, Hanoi could not protect their advantage. In the first half, Nguyen Thi Van equalized 1-1 for Than KSVN. In the second half, Hanoi's attacks were not sharp enough and they accepted a draw after 90 minutes of play, which meant they were eliminated. Phong Phu Ha Nam and Than KSVN entered the semi-finals as the first and second teams of Group B.
