Hanoi Dang Ky Duyen (born in 2004) won the BUV Cooperation Scholarship Champion thanks to her "dare" to participate in her favorite activities, building a community with a shared passion.

"If you don't try, you will never know if you can do it or not," Duyen shared her life motto, which is also her advice to other young people.

Currently, the girl born in 2004 is the Student Ambassador of BUV (British University Vietnam), using her voice and story to inspire young people who are taking their first steps on the journey of self-discovery and finding UK scholarship opportunities for themselves.

According to Ky Duyen, a second-year student majoring in Marketing Management at British University Vietnam, the journey to her dream was made up of many "darings". Throughout her high school years until becoming the Scholarship Champion, she was always proactive in drawing out a roadmap for her future.

Ky Duyen started learning about BUV scholarships in the first semester of grade 12, relatively late compared to her peers. At that time, she planned to apply to a public university. After accidentally coming across information about study opportunities at BUV, Duyen was determined to choose this international school as her future destination. Therefore, the female student had to quickly prepare for the scholarship and maintain her studies at school.

While studying at Yen Hoa High School (Hanoi), Duyen was the president of the photography club (Photo Of Youth). This was the place where she first fell in love with an art form and was the door that led the young girl to the media. After that, the female student and her friends founded the debate club - YenHoa Debate Society, from which she learned more about how to run an organization. This journey is a testament to the motto "dare to do, dare to live true to passion" and to the young girl's early discovery of leadership potential.

Besides, Duyen wants to use her own voice to point out the harsh realities that still exist in modern society. Choosing the topic of "male superiority and female inferiority" for her BUV scholarship application essay, the female student opened up about the stories she has experienced.

Ky Duyen shared that these are actions and words that are casual, and sometimes the person doing them doesn't even notice. She doesn't want to confront or speak harshly because these may be inherent concepts in their subconscious.

"However, those carelessnesses have followed me from the time I first became aware until I became an adult and I want to prove it with actions so that they can reconsider the problem," the BUV Scholarship Champion emphasized.

At the same time, Ky Duyen actively participates in extracurricular activities to develop herself. On her personal TikTok channel with more than 52,000 likes, she regularly shares her experiences as a collaborator at music events and school programs, becoming a Media Ambassador for major projects such as AIESEC, Global Talent, Dash For Impact, and joining the BUV Student Ambassador team...

She also had the opportunity to be a guest speaker at the Collaboration Scholarship in the seminar series "Tips for Winning a UK Scholarship at BUV". The female student said that this short talk was an opportunity for her to recall the scholarship application process, from which she could give advice to students, help them find their future direction, find solutions from a more objective perspective, and map out their own destination and suitable path.

"For me, this is a valuable opportunity to review my lessons and current abilities, and be more confident about the plans I have set," she added.

In addition, in her first year studying at BUV, Ky Duyen participated in an internship at a media and production company to be able to apply the knowledge she had learned to the actual working environment. Returning to school, that practical experience also helped the female student contribute strategies in her school assignments. Through this, she also had the opportunity to look deeper into herself, understand her strengths and weaknesses, and perceive her suitability for each career in the vast field of media and marketing.
