Recently, when criticized for being out of date and having to switch to becoming a TikToker at the age of U60, artist Phi Phung spoke out frankly. The actress affirmed that she can still act.
"When the profession no longer allows you to perform, then it's considered past time. But as an actor, the advantage for me is that when I'm older, I get to play the roles of mothers and grandmothers. I can perform at any age."
Explaining the decision to change direction to build a TikTok channel, artist Phi Phung said: "TikTok is a trend. Even though I follow the 'trend', I have to choose what is good, optimistic, and positive to follow, otherwise, it's not like I'm out of date, I still have a lot of time, my time is coming."

However, there are also opinions that instead of building a TikTok channel, at this age, artist Phi Phung can spend time with her family. Phi Phung believes that as an artist, she wants to spread positive things to young people.
"People who don't do art will stay home to take care of their family, but even though I'm old, I still follow trends, TikTok this and that, doing it I see many good things to learn. I'm actually quite brave, I'm in my sixties and just started doing TikTok but I know how to choose, choose positive things to spread joy and usefulness to young people," artist Phi Phung shared.
Phi Phung was born in 1964, from Tra Vinh, and is the daughter of actor Phi Thoan. The female artist is well known through a series of television series, movies, and sitcoms such as The Shadow of Her Husband, Little Prince Bakery, Family is Number 1... Phi Phung is known as the "Queen of Supporting Roles".
The female artist has participated in films shown in theaters: Let's Think Tomorrow 2, Ngay thoi ngay nay, Em la ba noi cua anh, Sai Gon, anh yeu em, Ve que an Tet... Phi Phung is a comedian with a very unique, humorous acting style.
Phi Phung won the Excellence Award at the Ho Chi Minh City Comedy Festival with the play "Funny Comrades" and won the Best Supporting Actress award at the HTV Awards.
