Doctor Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Acting Director of the Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital, said that the hospital currently has three functions, including: Treatment using traditional medicine; combining treatment using traditional medicine with modern medicine; and treatment combined with convalescence for officials managed by the Provincial Health Care and Protection Board.
However, as a public service unit under the Department of Health, the hospital must be 71% autonomous, so after 8 operations, the hospital has encountered many difficulties in balancing budget as well as investing in equipment and upgrading infrastructure.
The hydraulic inspection team is now out of action.
“Currently, the number of patients being treated and staying at the hospital has increased, overloading the initial design of the hospital rooms; despite the hot and uncomfortable weather, the hospital is forced to turn off the air conditioning system to limit monthly electricity costs; the operating room and hydrotherapy room are not operating...”, Doctor Nguyen Quoc Khanh shared the difficulties of the unit.
Therefore, in order for the hospital to meet the operational requirements commensurate with the scale of the Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation Hospital when reorganized, Doctor Nguyen Quoc Khanh proposed that the Provincial People's Committee, provincial departments and functional branches should pay attention to investment, increase the number of hospital beds, support electricity bills, repair and upgrade infrastructure, and increase the meal allowance for policy-entitled officials.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan directed to promptly remove immediate difficulties so that the hospital can operate properly.
check the room and visit the patient.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Construction Project Management Board to coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect the entire air conditioning system, electrical system, and equipment serving the daily life of patients... to meet the needs of retired cadres.
“It is necessary to quickly resolve the immediate difficulties so that the hospital can operate properly. However, functional units need to coordinate with the hospital's Board of Directors to review the planning, such as the layout of the premises, the increase of hospital beds to suit the conditions, the arrangement of the outside campus... All must be reasonably calculated and proposed for synchronous investment and upgrading so that the Department of Health can submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for approval to include it in the medium-term public investment capital in 2024 or 2025", the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed./
