At the ceremony, the family of Mr. Phan Tan Hoc and Ms. Le Thi Phuong Tram (Deputy Director of Dong Nai General Hospital) supported the hospital's Fund for Supporting Patients in Difficult Situations with 100 million VND.
The hospital presented 20 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND in cash, to patients in difficult circumstances who are being treated at the hospital. Although the gifts are not large, they are hoped to encourage the patients and help ease their difficulties.
In addition, Dong Nai General Hospital donated 2 wheelchairs to 2 patients; donated 5 blood pressure monitors to serve patients at the Examination Department; and supported 10 million VND in hospital fees for a patient in difficult circumstances.
Mr. Le Dinh Hanh, Deputy Head of the Social Work Department, Dong Nai General Hospital, said that recently, the hospital has implemented many meaningful and practical programs and activities to help many poor patients in difficult circumstances.
Every day, the hospital supports loving meals for patients; coordinates with localities to find relatives for homeless patients, traffic accident patients without relatives; searches for shelters and support facilities so that homeless patients have a place to eat and stay after discharge; supports hospital fees for patients in difficult circumstances; connects with benefactors to give gifts and flowers on holidays and Tet to encourage the spirit and help patients overcome difficulties.
