Expert Chris says this isn't wrong, but it can easily leave you feeling regretful and depressed if you gain weight after the holidays.
To have a complete vacation while still maintaining weight, expert Chris recommends focusing on eating time and increasing walking to burn excess calories.
Eat and drink
“Eating breakfast later and finishing dinner earlier can aid weight loss, improve mood and increase energy levels,” suggests expert Chris.
This method is similar to 16:8 intermittent fasting, ensuring the body has enough time to metabolize, while forcing it to use excess fat for energy.
"When enjoying a hotel buffet, it's important to choose wisely. Choose healthy breakfast options like eggs, veggies, Greek yogurt with berries and avocado for good fats. Avoid high-calorie items like pastries, cereals and fruit juices," says the expert.
Experts also warn of the huge source of calories coming from popular holiday drinks such as wine, soft drinks and fruit juices.
He emphasized the importance of drinking plenty of water these days because people tend to forget to drink water when their living environment changes.
Expert Chris also suggests that you should prepare some healthy snacks such as nuts, cereal bars... to both "save" emergency situations during the trip and help you maintain regular meals, thereby controlling your food intake more effectively.
"Remember, the key to enjoying the holidays without ruining your diet is balance and moderation. It's okay to indulge every now and then, but be mindful of portion sizes and opt for healthier options when possible," says the expert.
Motor
Chris says it's not necessary to maintain a workout schedule during the holidays, however, try to walk as much as possible, which helps burn excess calories effectively.
“Walking is a great way to stay active during your vacation. It’s a great form of exercise and allows you to explore your surroundings in depth. Consider walking or cycling to attractions whenever possible,” says the expert.
