(CLO) Da Nang Museum will temporarily stop operating from December 10 to move to a new location with an investment of more than 500 billion VND.
Mr. Huynh Dinh Quoc Thien, Director of Da Nang Museum, said that the unit will temporarily stop receiving visitors from December 10 to focus on moving documents and artifacts to serve the construction of the Da Nang Museum's exhibition at a new location (No. 42-44 Bach Dang and 31 Tran Phu, Hai Chau District).

It is expected that the relocation of documents and artifacts to the new location will be completed around January 2025. All documents and artifacts related to the exhibition content will be moved in stages.
With a much larger usable area than the old location, Da Nang Museum applies many new technologies in displaying and introducing artifacts, increasing the experience value for visitors with many display areas.
Including permanent exhibition area, special exhibition area, open warehouse exhibition area, limited-time exhibition area, research and development exhibition area and outdoor exhibition area.
This project is considered a breakthrough in investment in the cultural sector with dual value, both creating architectural highlights, new museum and tourist attractions, and restoring the ancient space to the Dien Hai Citadel National Monument. This project is a historical relic that has witnessed many ups and downs of the land and people of Da Nang.
After completing the relocation to the new location, the Da Nang Museum will open for free for a period of time to receive feedback from residents and visitors to continue perfecting the exhibition content before officially reopening and selling tickets.
Da Nang Museum currently preserves about 27,000 artifacts. The unit also actively cooperates to digitize 2,000 documents, artifacts, paintings, photos and maps to apply new technology, helping visitors interact and listen to explanations about artifacts through QR codes.
