The 2024 Futsal Asian Cup finals also serve as the 2024 Futsal World Cup qualifiers. The top four teams (excluding Uzbekistan) will qualify for the world finals.
The Vietnamese futsal team is led by coach Diego Giustozzi. The Argentine strategist led his home team to win the 2017 Futsal World Cup. This is also the first World Cup that the Vietnamese futsal team has participated in.
The Vietnamese futsal team is in Group A with Thailand, Myanmar and China. The goal of coach Diego Giustozzi and his team is to compete for a place in the World Cup. In Group A, Thailand is the strongest team. Myanmar and China are both considered below the Vietnamese team.
