On March 9, a source from the Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department said that the unit had just received and rescued a monkey voluntarily handed over by a resident in Binh Chanh district.
The person who handed over the monkey to the authorities was Mr. Nguyen Van Trung (residing in Tan Nhut commune, Binh Chanh district). According to Mr. Trung, in 2024, someone gave him the monkey. At that time, the monkey's tail was cut off.
After a year of raising the animal, Mr. Trung wanted to release it back into the wild, so he contacted the authorities.
