Government Cipher Committee propagates and disseminates digital signatures for public service

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Major General Nguyen Dang Luc - Deputy Head of the Government Cipher Committee emphasized that the implementation of Decree No. 68 aims to create consistency in the management, deployment and use of digital signatures for public service in the coming time.

At the same time, promote the application of digital certificates and digital signature certification services in Party and State agencies; contribute to administrative reform, information technology application, thereby promoting the construction of digital government and national digital transformation.

The conference disseminated and popularized important contents of Decree 68 detailing specialized digital signature services for public service; the provision, management, and use of specialized digital signatures for public service, specialized digital signature certificates for public service, and specialized digital signature certification services for public service.

Decree 68 takes effect from August 15, 2024 with a number of new points compared to Decree 130 of the Government, providing more specific regulations on the scope of regulation and applicable subjects; regulations on sending and receiving authentication request documents on the network environment to ensure objectivity and transparency in management and implementation.

The Decree also expands the solution for storing subscribers' secret keys; shortens the process of providing specialized digital signature certification services for public service in the direction that cadres, civil servants, and public employees do not have to make a written request for digital signature certificates for individuals...
