At the meeting, the leaders of Hong Linh Town reported an overview of the socio-economic situation, ensuring national defense and security in the first 9 months of 2023. Accordingly, the total value of industrial and handicraft production at current prices is estimated at over 1,590 billion VND, up 31.8% over the same period and reaching 57.8% compared to the 2023 plan. Technical infrastructure of industrial clusters in the area received investment attention. The value of trade and service business increased by 22.3% over the same period and reached 75.4% compared to the 2023 plan. Agricultural production achieved and exceeded the set plan in terms of area, productivity and output.
Secretary of Hong Linh Town Party Committee Le Thanh Dong reported on the socio-economic situation, Party building work and ensuring national defense and security in the area and proposed and recommended a number of contents to the province.
Up to now, Hong Linh Town is estimated to have achieved 55/63 criteria for a type III urban area, with a total score of 72.56 points. Budget revenue in the area reached more than 239 billion VND, reaching 126% of the plan, up 83% over the same period. Administrative reform work has been focused on through specific programs, plans, goals and targets.
The fields of education and training, health care, culture and society are given attention through many appropriate mechanisms and policies, contributing to improving the quality of education and the material and spiritual life of all classes of people.
Political security and social order and safety continue to be maintained, contributing significantly to the local socio-economic development. Party building and the political system are strengthened and consolidated. Regular attention is paid to and high solidarity and unity is built within the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee, the Town Party Committee and agencies, departments, branches and organizations from the town to the grassroots level, creating consensus among the people.

From the difficulties and obstacles in practice, the town has proposed to the province a number of contents such as: supporting resources and mechanisms and policies to invest in key infrastructure; reviewing, supplementing planning and approving, issuing decisions to establish the Hong Linh Southern Industrial Cluster; having plans to handle projects that are not implemented or are slow to implement investment and construction, speeding up the progress of investment projects using land; balancing and supplementing the staff and civil servants in communes and wards...
At the meeting, based on their functions and tasks, the leaders of the departments and branches clarified the issues proposed by Hong Linh town. At the same time, they oriented some more contents for the town to exploit its potential, advantages, and areas, and build the town to soon reach the status of a type III urban area such as: planning, implementing planning, attracting investment, developing industry, vocational training, developing urban agriculture, tourism, urban management, administrative reform, etc.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the most important purpose of the meeting was to remove difficulties and obstacles for the town to successfully implement the Resolution of the Provincial and Town Party Congresses. Therefore, in the coming time, the town will continue to closely follow the resolutions of the province, focus on investment and develop the town to become the northern urban area of the province.
