Provincial People's Committee leaders work with the Vietnamese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium

On April 2 , Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with Ambassador Nguyen Van Thao, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Belgium, concurrently holding the position of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Head of the Vietnamese Delegation to the European Union (EU).

At the meeting, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, briefly informed Ambassador Nguyen Van Thao about the outstanding results in the socio-economic development of Quang Ninh in recent times. He affirmed that the province is focusing on implementing comprehensive, rapid and sustainable development. In particular, it will promote administrative reform, investment attraction and development cooperation. The province hopes to continue receiving attention, coordination and support from the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium to promote trade cooperation, investment attraction, science and technology cooperation, innovation and tourism cooperation with Belgium as well as the European Union.

Ambassador Nguyen Van Thao expressed his impression and congratulated Quang Ninh on the important achievements that the country has made in recent times. At the same time, the Ambassador also informed that in June, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the EU, the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium will organize a conference inviting overseas Vietnamese associations in the EU, along with a number of ministries, sectors and localities of Vietnam to participate in the exchange to promote cooperation in trade and investment; science and technology, innovation; culture and tourism, on the basis of which framework cooperation agreements can be signed between the parties. This is a great opportunity to call for contributions from overseas Vietnamese as well as attract investment for the development of the country in general and the localities participating in the conference in particular. The Ambassador respectfully invited Quang Ninh to participate and make positive contributions to the success of the conference.
