In 2004, after graduating from Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Master, Doctor Nguyen Thi Thanh (born in 1981) returned to her hometown and worked at Thanh Ha District Medical Center. In 2012, she was assigned to be the Head of the Department of Public Health - Nutrition and Food Safety of the center. As the head of a department, Doctor Thanh is exemplary in her work, and together with the staff and civil servants in the department, she performs well the assigned tasks.
Previously, the management and treatment of non-communicable diseases in Thanh Ha district encountered some difficulties, there was no standard model for the examination and management of diabetes at the commune level. People's awareness of the danger of the disease was not high. Equipment and investment funds for management, examination and treatment of the disease were lacking... Doctor Thanh advised the Board of Directors of the training center to provide professional training for 100% of doctors and medical staff from the district to the commune. Build a system to monitor, detect, manage and treat diseases from the district to the commune health stations and deploy to villages and residential areas...
Up to now, 100% of communes and towns in Thanh Ha district have implemented management and treatment of hypertension with a total of 4,027 outpatient treatment records. Management and treatment of patients in the area have become routine.
Trusted by the Board of Directors of the District Health Center, in 2019, Dr. Thanh took over the duties at the methadone treatment facility in the district. Dr. Thanh said: “Patients come to the methadone treatment facility with psychological pressure and inferiority complex. Therefore, I carefully study the patient's records, encourage them, share their circumstances, ask about their thoughts and wishes to provide appropriate advice.”
In 2022, Ms. Thanh participated in the research project "Evaluation of treatment compliance and some factors related to treatment discontinuation of patients at the methadone facility of Thanh Ha District Medical Center", which was accepted with excellent results by the Scientific Research Council of Thanh Ha District Medical Center. Her dedication has helped many patients treated here stabilize their psychology, overcome their inferiority complex, cooperate, and comply with treatment.
Dr. Thanh also strives to research and propose many solutions and initiatives to improve the quality of care and treatment for patients. From 2012 to 2024, Dr. Thanh has 10 research topics, many of which are highly effective, such as: Assessment of knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of relatives towards schizophrenic patients in Thanh Ha district in 2012; assessment of the results of implementing treatment for type 2 diabetes patients in some communes and Thanh Ha district... All topics were accepted by the Scientific Research Council of Thanh Ha District Medical Center with excellent results.
Not only diligently improving his own knowledge, Dr. Thanh also enthusiastically guides his colleagues and commune health stations in professional work, actively participates in health check-up activities for the elderly and many programs and projects on medical examination and treatment organized by Thanh Ha District Health Center. Dr. Thanh is also an exemplary party member who studies and follows Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, building solidarity and high unity in the department's activities.

In 2019, 2021 and 2024, she was awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee for her excellent performance in completing her tasks.
