Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has announced the appointment of Rita Mokbel as Country Manager for Ericsson Vietnam. Rita will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s business operations in Vietnam.

In addition, she will continue as Telenor’s Global Head of Consumer Affairs, supporting Telenor Group in its transformation journey. She remains a member of Ericsson’s regional executive board for Southeast Asia, Oceania and India.
With over 14 years of experience at Ericsson in both regional and global senior leadership roles, Rita has demonstrated experience in general management, strategy, sales, business development, operations management and technology consulting.
Rita has successfully worked and coordinated with various stakeholders such as communications service providers, governments and enterprises across continents from Europe, Asia, Africa to the Americas, each with its own unique challenges and needs. Her leading ability to lead complex digital transformation journeys, empower enterprise clients and create impressive growth milestones demonstrates her adaptability and strategic foresight.

We will leverage Ericsson’s technology leadership to contribute to Vietnam’s technological advancement and economic growth,” said Rita Mokbel.
Ericsson has been supporting service providers in Vietnam through commercial 5G pilots since 2020, leveraging its technology leadership to deliver world-class consumer experiences on 4G extended base stations – which can be seamlessly and efficiently upgraded to 5G capabilities as needed. Ericsson’s 5G portfolio can significantly reduce costs and energy consumption per Gigabyte transmitted.
