According to The Verge , Gurman said that if you're trying to order an iMac, a 13-inch MacBook Pro, or one of the higher-end Pro models, some configurations won't ship until November. Gurman believes that this information, combined with Apple's November earnings report, is a clear sign that something is going on at the company. The last time Apple delayed discussing quarterly earnings like this, it was also the same time the company announced new Macs and iPads.
Apple is ready to launch the new iMac and 13-inch MacBook Pro after a long time
The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models were also refreshed in January, so they could still be on track for a 2024 release, according to Gurman. Meanwhile, the 13-inch MacBook Pro and iMac models are already in their third year.
As for what the next MacBook will look like, Gurman said users shouldn’t expect significant differences beyond processors and “small display improvements” in the new products. However, he said a new iMac Pro in 2025 and then an OLED MacBook Pro in 2026 could bring updated designs and features.
Guram also did not specify what kind of chips would be used in the upcoming Mac models. Previously, he predicted that Apple would bring new iMacs with the undisclosed M3 chip.
