Healthcare Asia Pharma Awards 2025: FPT Long Chau wins innovation of the year award

On the evening of April 10, FPT Long Chau pharmacy and vaccination center system was the representative of Vietnam to be honored with the award "Innovation - Technology breakthrough of the year" (Digital Innovation of the Year) at the Healthcare Asia Pharma Awards 2025.

This prestigious award aims to honor the spirit of continuous innovation of the representative from Vietnam - FPT Long Chau - in applying technology, thereby improving service quality and bringing advanced, safe and convenient healthcare solutions to people, actively contributing to the common goal of the country towards a civilized, modern and equitable healthcare system.

Vietnam is entering an era of strong growth with the determination to comprehensively transform digitally in all fields, especially healthcare. Digital transformation of healthcare is not only a global trend but also an important task, affirmed in Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo . This Resolution has set the goal of building a modern, equitable and effective healthcare system, with digital technology as the foundation for providing high-quality, accessible and cost-effective healthcare services.

Identifying “digital transformation to bring the best experience to customers” as the guiding principle, FPT Long Chau is extremely serious about investing and applying the latest technologies, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data (Big Data) in its operations to continuously innovate products and services for customers. The application of technology aims to support customers more conveniently and quickly, however, the issue of data security in the medical field is always a top priority. This dual goal requires strong and continuous will, perseverance, and creativity.

FPT Long Chau Pharmacy application, with more than 5.5 million downloads and 2.9 million orders processed in 2024, has gradually become one of the most popular applications in Vietnam. In particular, the prescription recognition and medication reminder feature with 98% accuracy helps patients comply with treatment regimens better, contributing to improving treatment effectiveness. Next, the electronic vaccination book on the application has attracted more than 150,000 users, of which 65% of customers proactively linked their relatives' accounts to manage family health information, increasing vaccination compliance rate by 20% and reducing errors by 98%.

A milestone in 2024, FPT Long Chau and the Center for Research and Application of Population Data and Citizen Identification (RAR Center) under the Ministry of Public Security have quickly and decisively cooperated to deploy electronic authentication services via VNeID. From January 1, 2025, people can buy medicine online more safely and conveniently through the VNeID application, contributing to improving transparency and security in pharmaceutical transactions. This integration does not stop at registering/logging into an account, it is also an important component integrated into the Electronic Health Book, helping people build and store digital health records, track medical examination and treatment history, retrieve medicine purchase history and prescriptions quickly and accurately.
