Impressive Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024

(Fatherland) - On the evening of August 23, the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024 with the theme "Hanoi Gifts" opened at the Tran Nhan Tong Walking Street (Hai Ba Trung District), introducing to visitors the unique cultural and culinary beauty of the capital Hanoi.

Practically celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) and responding to the National Tourism Year 2024, on the evening of August 23, the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024 officially took place at the Tran Nhan Tong Walking Street and surrounding areas in Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Tran Trung Hieu said that the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024 is an annual tourism stimulus activity, promoting the image of the Capital - a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" tourist destination to attract tourists to Hanoi on the occasion of National Day September 2.

With the theme "Hanoi Gifts", the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024 aims to honor the culinary quintessence of Hanoi, contributing to preserving and promoting folk culinary culture. During the opening ceremony, people and tourists enjoyed many elaborate art performances, 3D mapping technology, and contemporary dragon dance art... This year, the festival has about 100 participating units, including more than 20 food booths and many check-in spaces for visitors. Many typical culinary products of Hanoi are introduced at the festival, such as: Me Tri green rice flakes, Thanh Tri rice rolls, Pho bread, Huong Mai rice rolls, Duong Lam peanut candy, sweet soup, Hanoi draft beer, spring rolls, lotus jam, and banh cha...

At the same time, the festival also discovers and honors folk artists, collects and preserves ancient recipes and cooking methods, preserves and promotes the culinary treasure not only of the Vietnamese people, but also of ethnic minorities throughout the country, contributing to the development of the capital's tourism industry.

The owner of Com Moc Lam said that the unit brought to the festival 10 products made from Com: fresh Com, Com sticky rice, Com sausage, Com cake, Com stir-fried... "When talking about autumn gifts in Hanoi, we cannot fail to mention Hanoi Com. We spent many days preparing the products, ensuring quality and safety for visitors", Ms. Phuc expressed.

Participating in the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival for the first time, the owner of the Cha Ca He establishment shared that the unit had prepared fish ingredients to make about 100 spring rolls/day, but within just the opening afternoon and evening, they were all sold out. "This is a very practical activity to promote the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine and an opportunity for culinary shops to introduce their products to people and tourists," the owner of the Cha Ca He establishment shared.

Coming to the festival, visitors can not only experience food and drinks, see gift products from craft villages, but also experience many activities such as making bamboo dragonflies, making art flowers, recycling items...

During the festival, visitors will enjoy traditional art performances, such as: Gong performances of the Muong ethnic group (Thach That district); Cheo singing performance of Tan Hoi commune, Ca Tru singing art of Thuong Mo commune (Dan Phuong district).

In addition, visitors can also interact with famous kite artisans of Hanoi, such as: People's Artisan Nguyen Huu Kiem (Ba Giang kite artisan); Meritorious Artisan Pham Van Mai, Nguyen Gia Do (Hong Ha commune, Dan Phuong district).

Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024 opens a series of events and activities to stimulate and promote Hanoi autumn tourism. The festival lasts until August 25, 2024.
