(Dan Tri) - With the "hanging" bread model in Da Nang, Ms. Thao has given away free loaves of bread to the needy. Although simple, it helps many people have a full breakfast.

With the desire to share free meals with people in difficult circumstances, Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Thao (30 years old), owner of a vegetarian sandwich cart on Tran Tong Street, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City, and a customer came up with the idea and implemented the "hanging" sandwich model from the end of October 2024 until now.

In front of the bread cart, a small sign is hung showing the number of loaves that have been donated and how many are left for the day. Thanks to that, many people can know and come to receive free "hanging" bread. When implementing this model, Ms. Thao is very satisfied and wants to spread it more widely.

Ms. Thao said that when making this free hanging bread model, she only hoped to help many people in difficult circumstances so that they could have a more complete meal.

At first, few people knew about the "hanging" bread model, partly because the shop only sold vegetarian bread, so the number of people coming to receive it on weekdays was also limited.

But gradually, Ms. Thao's bread cart attracted more and more customers, and the "hanging" portions, even though they were vegetarian bread, were still received regularly even on weekdays.

Since then, the number of "hanging" sandwiches has increased every day, thanks to customers who have contributed more money or bought more sandwiches and "hanged" them up in the shop, giving them to others.

Many people also help share information on social networks or spread the word to get more people to come and support. The bread cart opens for sale at 6am every day. Up to this point, Ms. Thao has "hung" more than 300 loaves of bread and gives away about 30 each day.

Ms. Phuong Lan, a resident of Son Tra district, said that her income as a janitor was just enough to cover her living expenses, so when she heard about the free "hanging" bread cart, she went to eat. Thanks to these small loaves of bread, Ms. Lan saved some money and was full when she was hungry.
