The work "Spring Morning" by artist Nguyen Manh Hung is one of the works participating in the auction '20 years of charity - 20 houses to lift up the future'
Eliminating temporary housing for disadvantaged households to have a stable life is the dream of the community. It is also an honor for artists to contribute to this charitable activity. Therefore, the 5 artists hope that their works will find sympathy from benefactors.
Artist Nguyen Manh Hung submitted the painting “Spring Morning” for auction. Artist Nguyen Manh Hung loves the loneliness in the midst of majestic nature, as if blending into the quiet and peaceful flow of mountains, forests, and oceans. The landscape in Nguyen Manh Hung’s paintings has minimalist colors, but the level of light and dark tones is applied very softly to bring a sense of the landscape that is both shallow and deep, both far and near... but the common point is still to suggest an endlessly vast world.
"Peace and Prosperity" by artist Khong Do Duy.
Painter Khong Do Duy contributed the painting “Prosperous Peace” with the sentiment: “The painting is a peaceful scene with abundance, which is expressed through images such as fig trees, banquet tables, Buddha statues... The images in the painting are a harmonious combination of nostalgia, folklore, childhood and the present. With bright colors, by symbolic and figurative drawing style... Through the painting, I want to convey a positive source of spiritual energy with a desire for abundance, peace and abundance in life to all of us”.
"Old Village" by artist Chu Viet Cuong.
Artist Chu Viet Cuong with the painting “Old Village” shows his familiar style towards the beauty of the countryside. Not only showing off the technique and composition, artist Chu Viet Cuong also brings the cultural story into the work, as he shared: “I want to preserve the ancient architecture of the Vietnamese countryside. The places I have been to, the places that left a lot of impressions on me, it creates the emotions for me to do it with traditional lacquer material”.
"Dream flowers" by artist Nguyen The Hung.
Painter Nguyen The Hung presented the painting “Mo hoa 5” to the charity auction with his own feelings: “I have a habit of taking a short rest at noon. It’s not really sleeping, sometimes just taking a nap for a few minutes to relax my eyes and mind. At those times, my mind often flies out of my body, drifts and gets lost in other unimaginable realms. They leave me with fragmented memories, collaged images, fragments of emotions that sometimes explode and sometimes ripple. From those impressions, those emotions, those tiny fragments of soul, I pick them up and weave them into paintings like this.”
"Small stories 05" by artist Nguyen Minh.
Artist Nguyen Minh graduated with a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 2013 and has participated in many international exhibitions. His painting "Small Stories 05" was inspired by a village with unique architecture that is a combination of Eastern and Western architecture. Artist Nguyen Minh expressed: "I borrow the image of clouds drifting everywhere and telling stories about Vietnamese culture. To spread, preserve and remind generations to preserve, inherit and develop those cultural features."
