On June 25, the Women's Union of Binh Tan District (HCMC) and the project "Young Entrepreneurship Bracelet" of Miss World Environment Nguyen Thanh Ha co-organized the workshop "Career transition and small business start-up at home for female workers and unemployed laborers".
Help female workers find new directions
The workshop "Career conversion and small business start-up at home for female workers and unemployed workers" had the participation of leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union, Binh Tan District Business Association, startup expert - Master Vu Tuan Anh, startup training expert, and more than 300 female workers and laborers in Binh Tan District...
Binh Tan District is home to three industrial parks: Tan Tao, Vinh Loc and Tan Binh expansion, attracting hundreds of thousands of workers.
Recently, the lack of orders has forced many companies and businesses, including PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd. - the company with the largest number of employees in Ho Chi Minh City, to agree to terminate labor contracts with thousands of workers (and possibly further cuts), which has attracted special public attention.
The program contributes to enhancing the necessary skills to help female workers change careers or start a family business, in order to create sustainable income after losing their jobs.
Above all, the company’s employees are directly affected. The loss of jobs and no stable income in the difficult economic context has severely affected the lives of many families. However, there is a great encouragement that employees also receive support from the company to be able to overcome the initial challenges.
Faced with this situation, workers need to change their careers and use the capital they receive when they lose their jobs to create a stable and sustainable income in the future. This is also the desire of thousands of affected workers at PouYuen Vietnam Company as well as in Ho Chi Minh City in general.
Therefore, the workshop focused on listening to the wishes of workers, especially female workers, and providing basic knowledge about entrepreneurship, helping them have an overview of their future careers, enhancing the necessary skills to change careers or start a family business, in order to create sustainable income after losing their jobs. Thereby, workers can find a new direction for the future, and soon stabilize their lives.
Miss Nguyen Thanh Ha talks with workers in Binh Tan District on June 25.
Miss Nguyen Thanh Ha, who is also the founder of the project "Young Entrepreneurship Bracelet", shared: "The challenge of losing a job can become an opportunity to change careers and have a better income, if workers are equipped with enough knowledge, skills and know how to prepare for risks.
As the founder of "Young Entrepreneurship Circle", Thanh Ha wants to bring experts to those in need, bring skills to people who want to learn, specifically to the uncles, aunts, and workers in Binh Tan District who are facing difficulties. At the same time, Thanh Ha also wants to create a connected community of workers where people can support and help each other when in difficulty".
Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Vice President of Binh Tan District Business Association, won the auction for the painting Story of a River.
Miss Nguyen Thanh Ha donates all the money from the painting auction to children whose parents have died due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
