5,438 security and order protection teams in villages and residential groups

Permanent Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Le Hong Son signed and issued Decision No. 4611/QD-UBND dated September 4, 2024 on the number of Security and Order Protection Teams; the number of Security and Order Protection Team members at the grassroots level in Hanoi.

According to the Decision, there are 5,438 security and order protection teams in villages and residential groups in communes, wards and towns in Hanoi. Each team has from 3 to 5 members, including 1 team leader, 1 deputy team leader and 1 to 3 team members.

The City People's Committee regulates the members of the Security and Order Protection Team for villages and residential groups subject to merger, including cases of village and residential group mergers. The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities shall propose to the City People's Committee to decide on adjusting the number of members of the Security and Order Protection Team, specifically including villages and residential groups after the merger with less than 350 households.

At the same time, establish a security and order protection team of no more than 4 members, including 1 Team Leader, 1 Deputy Team Leader, and no more than 2 team members.

After merging, villages and residential groups with 350 households or more will establish a Security and Order Protection Team with no more than 5 members, including 1 team leader, 1 deputy team leader, and no more than 3 team members.
