According to the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), a helicopter crashed in Alaska on the evening of July 20 (local time), killing all four people on board.
The NTSB said the aircraft involved in the crash was a Bell 206L-4 helicopter operated by a private charter company. The helicopter lost contact with the electronic tracking system at approximately 7 to 8 p.m. on July 20 (10 to 11 a.m. on July 21, Vietnam time).
The helicopter crashed while returning to Utqiagvik after completing a mission. The NTSB said search and rescue teams in the North Slope area found part of the ill-fated helicopter in a lake about 50 miles southwest of Utqiagvik.
