On February 4, Nghe An Provincial Police announced that five key officers at the department and district police levels had applied for early retirement to facilitate the organization's restructuring and streamlining.

Specifically, 5 officials have asked to resign and wait to receive retirement benefits, including Colonel Tran Thang Long (Head of Logistics Department), Colonel Ho Minh Thang (Head of the Party Committee Inspection Commission), Colonel Pham Hoai Nam (Chief of Office of the Investigation Police Agency), Colonel Duong Dinh Van (Head of Internal Political Security Department) and Lieutenant Colonel To Van Hau (Head of Ky Son District Police).

All 5 of the above officials still have time to work, including Colonel Pham Hoai Nam (born 1967) who has 2 more years of work before reaching retirement age according to regulations.

Major General Bui Quang Thanh, Director of Nghe An Provincial Police, acknowledged the contributions of the five officers in the recent past and their voluntary early retirement spirit, in order to create favorable conditions for the organization to arrange and assign officers when there is a policy of the Ministry of Public Security on streamlining the apparatus, as well as preparing to build a personnel plan for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.

According to Major General Bui Quang Thanh, the five department-level leaders and district police chiefs who retired this time were all leaders and commanders who had worked in many different fields and always completed their tasks excellently.

The Director of Nghe An Provincial Police hopes and believes that with their extensive working experience, in the coming time, the 5 officers mentioned above will continue to promote the fine tradition of the people's police officers, always monitor, accompany and share their valuable experiences, contributing to the building of a regular police force.
