Ukrainian soldiers flee, Russia changes new tactics

According to Kienthucnet, recently, the US media admitted that the morale of the Ukrainian army is low and a large number of soldiers are no longer ready to move to combat positions.

Although NATO, led by the US, has sent a large number of military advisers to directly command the front line and supervise the Ukrainian army on the spot, this still cannot prevent the Ukrainian army from fleeing in large numbers due to low morale.

After conducting an in-depth investigation and analysis of the situation of the Ukrainian army on the front line, CNN published an article titled “With insufficient equipment and numbers, the Ukrainian army is facing a dilemma of low morale and desertion.”

The report details the problems of low morale and desertion in the Ukrainian army, and points to a serious problem of the Ukrainian army's declining will to fight. The US media reports are based on factual data. According to the report, data released by the Ukrainian parliament shows that in the first four months of 2024 alone, as many as 19,000 soldiers deserted from the battlefield in Ukraine.

General Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, also publicly admitted that low morale is one of the most serious problems Ukraine is currently facing and that raising morale has become the most urgent issue for the Ukrainian military.

A Ukrainian military commander stationed in Pokrovsk told reporters that many new recruits who had not undergone rigorous training had chosen to leave their posts.

It is understood that these recruits encountered many difficulties after arriving at the battlefield. They saw a large number of Russian drones, artillery and mortars, and their momentum was directly overwhelmed. The Ukrainian commander pointed out that after these recruits passed through this position once, they would not return to the position if they survived.

Refusal to go to war and attempts to leave the army have become a common feature of many new recruits in the Ukrainian army. Many Ukrainian soldiers complain that the lack of weapons and ammunition has seriously affected their combat effectiveness. Even when they see Russian troops, they cannot launch an attack because they do not have weapons.

Russia’s strategy is to use counterattacks to hold the enemy back while concentrating firepower on key positions. Ukraine attacked Kursk to distract the Russian army from attacking Donetsk, thereby reducing pressure on the Ukrainian defense. However, the Russian army took advantage of the retreat of the elite main force of the Ukrainian army and concentrated superior forces to launch an attack on eastern Ukraine.

Russia's move was to use territory to hold back the main force of the Ukrainian army. The Ukrainian army initially wanted to disband the main force of the Russian army, but unexpectedly, the Russian army took advantage of it, only using an unimportant area to hold back the main force of the Ukrainian army, leading to a rapid reversal of the battlefield situation.

Russia eliminates French self-propelled artillery in Ukraine

According to Vietnamnet, Russian media reported that the country's military destroyed a Caesar self-propelled artillery system in service with the Ukrainian armed forces inside Kursk province.

A video posted by the Zvezda TV military channel shows that a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) while performing a reconnaissance mission in Kursk province discovered a Caesar self-propelled artillery vehicle of the Kiev armed forces infiltrating the village of Nikolaevo-Darino near the Russia-Ukraine border.

After the Caesar artillery left the main road and moved into the forest, the Russian side, using data provided by the UAV, carried out an artillery attack on the hiding place of the Ukrainian equipment.

Statistics from the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) show that the Ukrainian army has received at least 43 Caesar artillery pieces from a number of Western countries since 2022.

Caesar is a self-propelled gun manufactured by the French defense group GIAT Industrial and put into service in the 1990s. The total weight when the gun is mounted on a wheeled vehicle is 17.7 tons; length 10 m; width 2.5 m; height 3.26 m. Combat crew of 6 people.

According to Military Today, Caesar uses 155mm artillery shells; the rate of fire is 4-6 rounds/minute; the ability to elevate the gun barrel angle is between 0 and 60 degrees. The maximum range of Caesar is 42 km when using extended-range ammunition.

EU exhausted from aid to Ukraine

Military expert Anatoly Matviychuk believes that the European Union (EU) will have enough resources to help Ukraine for a maximum of one or two years, after which many countries will begin to block decisions to support Kiev.

According to the expert, the protest movement has already begun. He reiterated that the EU is a union that lives on the contributions of its member states.

“I believe that the expenditure, which today exceeds billions of euros, is a burden for some countries. After all, the EU economy is in decline, especially the advanced powers such as Germany, France and Italy. They are now feeling the crisis in energy, in the supply of components, in the supply of technology…” , Matviychuk noted.

Poland suggests hot plan for Ukraine

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said EU members should cut social benefits for Ukrainian refugees to encourage them to return home and fight. The diplomat said EU countries were weakening the Ukrainian army.

“We are reducing Ukraine's mobilization potential by subsidizing Ukrainian refugees,” Mr. Sikorski said.

The Polish government provides subsidies for Ukrainian adults entering the country with children, but countries in Western Europe also provide other benefits, he said.

According to him, these subsidies will be a financial obstacle for Ukrainians to return home. “ We should not subsidize evasion of military service ,” he declared.
