Pioneering in accompanying businesses and people, supporting economic growth and social security Vietcombank pioneered in reducing interest rates, supporting businesses and people to recover economically after the pandemic. In the face of the serious impacts and damages caused by storm Yagi, Vietcombank has implemented the "Policy to reduce lending interest rates to support individuals and businesses in localities affected by storm No. 3 - Yagi". Accordingly, Vietcombank reduces up to 2%/year of lending interest rates corresponding to the criteria and taking into account the factors of the area and industry heavily affected by storms and floods and the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector, applied from September 6, 2024 to December 31, 2024. The interest rate reduction programs have preferential rates of up to 2%/year, helping more than 110,000 customers with a total outstanding debt of about 900,000 billion VND. The bank also contributed nearly VND571 billion to social security programs such as eliminating temporary housing, granting scholarships, and building schools.

The highest charter capital increase in the Vietnamese banking system The National Assembly approved the addition of VND20,695 billion of state capital to Vietcombank, raising its charter capital to VND83,557 billion, the highest in the banking system. Pioneering the application of biometric technology and VneID Vietcombank leads the market with the implementation of biometric authentication services and VNeID connection.
