Regularly eating these two types of meat increases the risk of stroke by 14%

Stroke is the world's leading killer. However, your risk of stroke can increase alarmingly if you regularly consume these 2 types of meat.

According to Dr Shireen Kassam, founder of Plant-Based Health Professionals UK (UK), the "key foods" that can make you susceptible to stroke are processed meat and red meat, according to the Express newspaper.

From salting to curing, processed meat has been modified to preserve or enhance flavor.

Processed meat includes things like sausages, bacon and ham, cold cuts, while red meat includes beef and pork.

Limit red meat and processed meat.

The study, published in the European Heart Journal , also highlighted this risk.

Looking at more than 400,000 participants from nine countries, the study identified foods associated with the risk of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.

Worse still, consuming just 50 grams of red and processed meat a day increases the risk of ischemic stroke by 14%, according to Express.

However, Dr. Kassam notes that more research is needed to draw conclusions on this.

From an itchy mole, thought it was fine, who would have thought it would turn out to be skin cancer?

Michelle Richardson (49 years old, living in Hampshire, England) said that a mole of hers suddenly started itching. But then, 1 year later, within a week, countless small tumors appeared all over her body, including her lungs and brain, and she was diagnosed with stage 4 skin cancer.

At first she felt an itch on a mole and scratched it, but when it started bleeding she suspected something was wrong.

She went to see a doctor but the doctors thought it was the bra strap rubbing, and scheduled her for a follow-up visit in 3 months.

But the itching persisted and the mole became darker.

When she went for a follow-up visit, she asked for a biopsy.

As she feared, doctors found a thin layer of skin cancer, stage 1B, which they removed, according to the Mirror .

Test results showed that the cancer had not spread and that Michelle was completely fine.

However, she still required lymph node surgery as a precaution. It was there that doctors discovered a tiny cancerous growth - called a micrometastasis - that had not been detected on the scan because of its small size. It turned out that she had melanoma - a type of skin cancer, and was already in stage 3.

Most moles are normal and usually harmless. But itchy moles, along with other changes, can be a sign of skin cancer.

This micrometastasis was also removed, but with no treatment available at the time, there was nothing else doctors could do.

Michelle had to have a CT scan every 6 months and an ultrasound of her armpit every 6 months. The results did not detect cancer.

Until a year later, Michelle's health became so bad that she felt very uncomfortable.
