The 10th People's Artist and Meritorious Artist award ceremony took place on the morning of March 6 at the Hanoi Opera House, honoring 389 artists with outstanding artistic talents who have made many contributions to the cause of building and developing the nation's cultural and artistic foundation.
Of these, 125 artists were awarded or posthumously awarded the title of People's Artist; 264 artists were awarded or posthumously awarded the title of Meritorious Artist.
Speaking at the award ceremony, President Vo Van Thuong emphasized that People's Artists and Meritorious Artists are truly "valuable assets of the country", regardless of age or ethnicity, they have all made valuable contributions to Vietnamese culture, contributing significantly to the great achievements of historical significance of the country.
Minister Nguyen Van Hung spoke at the 10th People's Artist and Meritorious Artist Award Ceremony.
Singer Ngoc Khang received the title of People's Artist. "The title of People's Artist is the most noble award, the recognition of the people and the State for my years of hard work and dedication to the country's art. This award has great significance in my career, marking a milestone in my personal dedication. Today, receiving that award, I feel very happy and proud." Ngoc Khang said that the title of People's Artist is the motivation for him to continue to strive and contribute to the people and the Fatherland.
People's Artist Dieu Huong, VOV artist, received the noble title.
People's Artist Hoang Quan Tao sat in a wheelchair to receive the title.
President Vo Van Thuong presented the title to People's Artist Quoc Khanh.
With many contributions to art, actor Xuan Bac was awarded the title of People's Artist.
At the moment of receiving the noble title, Xuan Bac expressed: "The title is necessary but not the destination of true artists. The title is the motivation, encouragement, and sometimes the belief of the artist because his efforts and dedication are recognized."
People's Artist Thu Huyen received the title. With nearly 30 years in the profession, People's Artist Thu Huyen has brought home outstanding achievements in art competitions.
People's Artist Huong Dung received the noble title at the age of 68.
Artist Ngoc Huyen expressed her joy and happiness when receiving the title of People's Artist despite being retired: "I do not feel disadvantaged to receive the title of People's Artist at this age, I feel even happier to receive the title at the present time."
Director Tran Luc received the title of People's Artist.
People's Artist Tran Duc was honored to receive the title.
President Vo Van Thuong presented the title to People's Artist Tan Minh.
Thanh Lam is the only diva in the quartet (along with My Linh, Hong Nhung, Tran Thu Ha) - to be awarded the title of People's Artist.
Artist Thanh Kim Hue was posthumously awarded the title of People's Artist.
Bui Thu Huyen is one of the VOV artists to be awarded the title of Meritorious Artist. Thu Huyen confided: "I feel extremely happy to receive this honor on the occasion of the Year of the Dragon, after a year of quite active artistic activities."
Actor Viet Anh expressed his emotion when receiving the noble title. He said the title is a great motivation on his artistic path.

Artist Le Mai, mother of Meritorious Artist Le Van, People's Artist Le Khanh, Meritorious Artist Le Vi received the title of Meritorious Artist at the age of 85.

The titles of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist have contributed to motivating and encouraging artists, especially young artists, to be passionate about creating and performing arts, creating many valuable programs, plays and performances to serve the people.
