According to the penalty decision No. 210/QD - VPHC: New Women Magazine and New Women Electronic Magazine committed administrative violations, not implementing the content stated in the license, not implementing the principles and purposes stated in the press operation license, causing less serious effects.
The magazine published an incorrect number of pages approved by the state press management agency, as prescribed in Point b, Clause 3, Article 5 of Decree 119/2020/ND-CP dated October 7, 2020 of the Government regulating administrative sanctions for violations in press and publishing activities.
In addition, the New Women Magazine and the New Women Electronic Magazine published many news and articles that were not in accordance with the principles and purposes stated in the Electronic Newspaper Operation License, as stipulated in Point e, Clause 4, Article 8 of Decree 119/2020/ND-CP dated October 7, 2020 of the Government; Point c, Clause 10, Article 2 of Decree 14/2022/ND-CP dated January 27, 2022 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the Government stipulating sanctions for administrative violations in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology and electronic transactions and Decree No. 119/2020/ND-CP dated October 7, 2020 of the Government stipulating sanctions for administrative violations in press and publishing activities.
For the above violations, New Women Magazine and New Women Electronic Magazine were fined a total of 72.5 million VND.
