Regarding the abandoned 39 billion VND aquatic breed production and inspection project, on November 5, Mr. Ho Quang Buu - Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee said that the province has concluded to completely resolve the existing problems and difficulties of the Quang Nam concentrated aquatic breed production and inspection infrastructure project (referred to as the Project).
According to Mr. Ho Quang Buu, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province agreed to assign the People's Committee of Thang Binh district to receive, manage and use the assets of the above-mentioned project. As for the power project including 2 560 KVA transformer stations and medium voltage lines of the project, the People's Committee of the province agreed to assign the Quang Nam Electricity Company to receive, manage and use.
Enterprises operating in production and investment in this Project shall not discharge waste into the Project's common wastewater treatment area. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, relevant sectors and localities to research and advise the provincial leaders to agree on the policy to allow the implementation of a plan to discharge wastewater into the sea after the wastewater is treated, ensuring compliance with regulations; coordinate with relevant departments, sectors and branches to establish procedures and organize the handover of project assets to the People's Committee of Thang Binh district and the Provincial Electricity Company for management and use in accordance with prescribed procedures.
Previously, on November 4, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper published an article “Abandoned 39 billion VND aquatic seed production and inspection project”, reflecting that this project was invested with more than 39 billion VND. However, after completion, it was not put into operation, abandoned, leading to degradation and damage.
